How we drive values-led change

Living Values helps move values from words into action.

We do this by

  • Making values visible.
  • Build awareness.
  • Support embodiment.
  • Enable institutionalisation.
We combine research and advocacy to create dialogue across diverse perspectives, encourage independent thinking, and support evidence-informed decision-making.

Advocacy: Making values visible

Through Advocacy, we create spaces for dialogue, storytelling and public engagement.

This helps people, leaders, organisations and communities recognise values, concerns, reflect on what matters, and practise values-led change.

Research: Building insight and tools

Through Research, we generate the evidence, insights, frameworks and tools needed to understand how values shape behaviour, leadership, relationships, institutions and social transformation. Together, Advocacy and Research create a reinforcing cycle: research deepens insight, while advocacy brings lived experience.

One of our core principles is that of impartiality, which we drive through a combined research and advocacy approach. For us, impartiality means making space for many voices and viewpoints, while using research, dialogue and reflection to support thoughtful, evidence-informed decision-making, without pushing people towards a predetermined position.

In this way, values move from being spoken about, to being lived, and from being lived, to shaping the cultures, norms and systems within which we live and work.
